What The Schnitzel started as a home catering business back in 2017 known as Coburger Bistro, which served authentic German cuisine and much more. Founder Melanie Glover, orginally from Germany, has a passion for cooking. She grew up in the food business in Germany helping out with her family's restaurant when she was younger. After moving to and living in the United States, Melanie felt the urge to share her culture and her passion with others, so she began her home catering business. Melanie has dreams of running a food truck, and with the success of her home business she was able to achieve that goal, She re-branded to What The Schnitzel (WTS) in 2023, with the goal of connecting with more people through her cooking. The concept of WTS is to combine her authentic German style of cooking with flavors from around the world. As Melanie lived in the United States she was able to experience the food and culture of many different country's and regions, She feels that the schnitzel sandwich is the perfect dish to combine her German roots with these unique flavors she's grown to love. What The Schnitzel is the product of one women's love for food, her home, and the people she shares it with.
